Hair ♥ Cutting Room Creative Leeds

"25 years ago, Charles and Karen Dodds opened a salon in the up and coming Leeds suburb of Chapel Allerton. Their vision – to create a new type of luxury hairdressing salon that would bring the very best of hairdressing services and the latest hair fashions to Yorkshire – and beyond."

Today I had the opportunity to experience CRC's Leeds City Salon service firsthand, and what a fabulous experience it was.
I was given the opportunity to have a Shu Uemura Art of Hair Initiation Ceremony (£15), Blow Dry (£30) and Sunjunkie Professional Spray Tan (£20).

A stoney face and snobby attitude is what makes most women fearful of stepping foot into a chic city salon to enquire about a hair appointment.
But it was clear from the moment I walked through the doors of the Cutting Room Creative salon that all of the staff had an excellent understanding of customer service, starting with the warm and welcoming attitude the girls on reception demonstrated.

When given a tour of CRC's city location I couldn't believe how big it was due to the deceiving exterior of the premises. The salon has two floors with 5000 sq ft of space and features the Colour Relaxation Room, the Shu Uemura Ceremony Room and the Style Lounge (my favourite part of the salon), for individual hair makeovers and style consultations.
The salon is also home to to L'Oreal's Northern Training Academy.

Following the tour of the salon, I headed upstairs with Jessica, to the Shu Uemura Ceremony Room for the Initiation Ceremony - '15 minutes of relaxation and care'.
This is a must-have treatment if you've had a stressful day at work or you simply need to switch off and unwind from everything going on around you.
I didn't need to do any of the above, so I sat back in the comfy recliner chair and enjoyed both the treatment and a chat with Jessica, who had a bubbly personality and great understanding of customer care.

After the treatment, I went back downstairs where I was introduced to the lovely Ashleigh who I had my blow dry with. Instead of having my natural curls diffused, I opted for a smooth and bouncy blow dry. Ashleigh pinned my hair in place while I had my Sunjunkie Professional Spray Tan, and then afterwards removed the hair pins and added styling products hairspray and shine spray to finish the look, which I absolutely loved!

I met Stephanie who took me into the Style Lounge to discuss what type of tan I wanted to achieve with the Sunjunkie Professional Spray Tan. I decided on the 'Diamond' for a sun-kissed glow as I have fair skin and didn't want to walk out of the salon looking tan-tastic!
I've had one too many bad experiences in the past with spray tans (green armpits and orange streaky skin - not a good look).

However, following my spray tan experience with Stephanie, my confidence has definitely been restored in the beauty treatment and I'll be sure to book in again!

I had a fantastic few hours at Cutting Room Creative Leeds, and I would highly recommend this salon for anyone who lives nearby or for those of you who may visit the city for a weekend away.
The customer service cannot be faulted in any way and the stylists will ensure you leave the salon feeling fabulous whether you have a cut, colour or blow dry.
