Dress* - Myleene Klass at Littlewoods | Hat - French Connection
This season we see the revival of trends from a number of past era's, including the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.
Although a 'product' of the 90's, I'd have to say it's my least favourite era for fashion, making an exception for my love of dungaree garments and the preppy style outfits in Clueless of course.
My personal favourites include 60's shift dresses, 70's boho-chic style garments (including high-waisted, flared jeans and over-sized floppy hats), and the big shoulders and big hair of the 80's (Madonna's 'Borderline' and Whitney's 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' are on my playlist).
I think this over-sized, felt floppy hat in electric blue from French Connection is the perfect 70's fashion staple, fabulous for accessorising and dressing on trend this season.
I teamed it up with this beautiful canary yellow, Diane von Furstenberg-style wrap dress from the Myleene Klass collection at Littlewoods.
The design of this dress is perfect for flattering all figures (mine being pear-shaped), the long sleeves ideal for the spring/summer temperatures in England and the colour both beautifully bold and bright.
